"Daily Steep" Iced Tea (summer)
DARJEELING- first flush
Origin: Giddaphar Estate, Darjeeling India. First Flush means that this tea was picked in March. It has a light vegetal taste that all first flush Darjeelings share. A tea for all occasions, though typically enjoyed without cream or sugar.
MONK'S BLEND- Organic
Origin: Darjeeling, Assam, & Anhui. A unique blend of robust black teas. Various subtle flavors give an aroma that is slightly vegetal and earthy yet smooth and subtly fruity. This tea can be combined with milk, or enjoyed on its own. Monk's Blend is often drunk before, after, or as a break from long periods of meditation to refresh the senses.

LAPSANG SOUCHONG- Organic

BLOOMING BLACK TEA
A delicate flower blooms inside this ball tea just before tiny flowers slowly cascade upward like Champagne bubbles. The flowers add their enlivening fragrance and strong taste to this delectably smooth black tea.
In most cases, peppermint tends to take over a blend; in this tea, the peppermint actually enhances the flavor of the lavender, while lingering only in the background as a subtle hint and aftertaste. If ever there was a good bedtime green tea, this blend would be it.

Sencha of the Earth is medium-bodied with a smooth quality. It creates a delicate bronze-hued liquor with a hay-like aroma mixed with light notes of chamomile. The taste is decidedly floral with a strong aftertaste evocative of honeysuckles. A perfect spring harvest tea!

Origin: Japan. A wonderful blend of Sencha, puffed brown rice, and Matcha. The Matcha powder lightly coats the Sencha leaves and rice, adding a fresh and mellow taste. A rich and hearty flavor of roasted grains or coffee but the freshness of Matcha and Sencha.
GYOKURO (JADE DEW)
Origin: Japan. The name "gyokuro" translates as "jade dew" and refers to the pale green color of the infusion. It is grown under the shade rather than the full sun. An elegant aroma and a sweetness of taste.
Origin: Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan. Fukamushi indicates it is steamed for a longer duration than other Senchas. Very easy to drink, it has a slight astringency and a bright floral aftertaste. Rich and grassy with walnut and vegetal tones.
Origin: Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan. Medium-heavy in body with a lingering presence, Tsugumi has notes of pecans and chamomile. With a pale orange hue, this roasted Kukicha releases an aroma of wood, peat moss and toast. Produced from the stems of autumn harvest Tencha leaves, Tsugumi is roasted in order to bring out its unique flavors.
Origin: Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan. Medium-bodied with a sharp finish, this tea presents an energizing astringent taste with undertones of walnut. When steeped it has a red-tinted amber color and a powerful woody aroma with notable hints of oak. Made by roasting Sencha, Hojicha Amber, has the most intense flavor among all Hojichas.

HUO SHAN HUANG YA
Origin: Anhui, China. Created in the Tang dynasty (618-907 A.D) and the Sage of Tea described this special yellow tea in the famous ancient tea book Cha Jing (the Tea Classic). The processing method was lost in the1940s and was reproduced in 1972 by 3 old tea masters. A chestnut flavor with a sweet and thick taste.

Origin: Sichuan, China. The pale yellow infusion is complex and delicate with hints of floral, sweet and nutty. It has a lovely appearance, balanced with a mellow and refreshing aftertaste.
FLOATING FORESTS OF NEEDLES
Origin: Hunan, China. A sweet, earthy fragrance and sweet, woody, mellow taste. The yellow-silver color and needle-shaped leaf give this tea its name. This tea is perhaps best known in this century as the favorite tea of Chairman Mao. Only 5 ancient tea plants are known to produce this tea, planted south of Dong Ting Lake in Jun Mountains. Origin: Guangdong, China. This select tea was tribute tea in the Song Dynasty. This strain is light and slightly astringent, with a hint of tropical fruit. An absolute delight, from the lovely black leaves, to the complex aroma of the infusion which is a lovely golden yellow liquor, with a complex delicate woody, fruity taste.
TAIWAN RED OOLONG
Origin: Taiwan. A heavily roasted and deeply oxidized oolong ideally for further aging. Dry leaf aroma is nutty and slightly smokey. The liquor of the tea is a beautiful red, and the flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and dried fruit. Scents of chestnuts, dried wood and green forest growth give way to smooth, mellow flavours of spearmint, dry lemongrass and some minerality.

Origin: Fujian Province, China. This is an invigorating blend of oolong tea and ginseng.This tea has the rich, crisp taste of oolong with a stronger, pleasing aftertaste.
